Are you ready for a bigger challenge? The Police Authority is now looking for a creative and curious Software Developer to join the Missing Persons System group and help us make Sweden safer.
The IT department currently consists of about 1400 employees responsible for all IT used by the authority's 40,000 employees.
Our office is centrally located in Norrköping, and we offer flexible working hours and the opportunity to work from home 2 days a week. The office is friendly, and everyone greets each other. We value a good balance between work and leisure.

Job Description:
At the IT department, we understand the importance of empowering those who know the product best. This means our development teams are responsible for the entire product lifecycle, and the teams prioritize and direct the choice of technologies and development work. Since the teams manage the entire chain regarding the product and tools, they set the pace for deliveries and deployments themselves.
The team consists of several senior software developers, testers, technical product specialists, project leaders, and requirements analysts. The area the team works with concerns international crime, where IT products are essential for the police's ability to prevent and combat crime.
An effective missing persons system supports police officers in the field, border police, regional command centers, international case handlers, and criminal investigators to ensure that their missions are carried out efficiently and quickly.
Qualifications:
This is an opportunity for you who have:
· Several years of relevant work experience in software development with a focus on Java
· Relevant post-secondary education in IT, or equivalent acquired experience that the Police Authority can assess as equivalent
· Work experience of having recently developed in Spring Boot or similar, as assessed by the Police Authority as relevant.
· Work experience of having recently developed in Frontend
· Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
The employment requires Swedish citizenship.
Meritorious
It is an advantage if you also have competence in one or more of the following technologies/areas:
· Container environments e.g. Docker/Kubernetes
· DevOps/CI/CD pipelines running on Jenkins
· JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Vite
· Development within search functionality e.g. Elastic Search/Lucene indexing
· Linux
· Test-driven development; unit tests, integration tests preferably with Spring Boot/Cucumber or Cypress
· API development
